The limited edition "The Gregory Plantation, ca 1820" lithograph print
was made from an original watercolor painting by Eola L. Dent, owned by
Reginald and Elaine Gregory. Printed on neutral ph, 100% rag archival paper,
this heirloom print can last indefinitely if properly cared for. Conservation
framing methods are highly recommended. A very limited quantity of the original
series are still available.

About the Artist:

Eola Dent is a native of Mississippi, but became a transplanted South Carolinian
when she married Eugene Dent of Lockhart, South Carolina in 1945. In addition to
being a wife and mother of four sons, she has enjoyed a variety of careers including
teacher, secretary, bookkeeper, and real estate broker. She spent several years
traveling around the world as the wife of an Air Force Officer, and it was during
one of these tours to Japan, that she became interested in learning to paint.

After retirement and returning to Union County several years ago, she began more
study and serious work. Since the early eighties, she has received numerous awards
and has exhibited her primitive watercolors throughout the State. She has been a
top award winner in the Spartanburg Spring Fling Sidewalk Art Exhibit, and her
work has been chosen for juried shows at the Gibbs Art Gallery in Charleston,
Anderson County Museum, and York County Museum at Rock Hill. Her widely acclaimed
"Ginning Time", was one of four paintings commissioned by Arthur State Bank,
Union, South Carolina, and issued in a series of limited edition prints.
These original paintings are part of the bank's permanent collection and
hang in the Main Street Branch.
